Set Van Assignment Priority in ParcVu Desktop

The Van Assignment Priority function in ParcVu Desktop is only available to existing customers who previously signed up for the legacy ParcVu Bookings module. New subscribers will be offered enrolment in the Booking Experts module. Existing customers using legacy Bookings will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to Booking Experts - contact your Account Manager for more information
If the ‘Auto Assign Bookings’ facility within ParcVu is to be used, then it is necessary to set the ‘Van Assignment Priority’ in Client Configuration - this is used to prioritise which unit types are allocated first to maximise revenue. For example, filling Guaranteed Income scheme units first, followed by any Hire Fleet units rather than prioritising Sublet, since Sublet revenue is shared with Owners
To access this function, the user must have the Allow Access System Maintenance Menu user permission
From the Home Screen, go to System Maintenance Sub Menu > Client Configuration
The ‘System Configuration’ screen will be displayed
Select ‘Edit’ on the Navigation list and scroll down
Set Auto Allocate Bookings to True in the ‘Bookings’ section
In the ‘General’ section, click on Van Assignment Priority in the list, and in the corresponding column, use the drop-down list facility to select the required ‘Order’ for assignment of Vans to Bookings.
The different types of Sublet are defined in the Sublet Agreements, allowing you the granularity to determine which type of Sublet should be prioritised over another
The ‘Order’ selected here will determine the assignment process used when Bookings are Auto assigned by the system
Click ‘Save’ once you have selected the order you prefer
