Agent Accounts in ParcVu Desktop

The Agent Accounts function in ParcVu Desktop is only available to existing customers who previously signed up for the legacy ParcVu Bookings module. New subscribers will be offered enrolment in the Booking Experts module. Existing customers using legacy Bookings will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to Booking Experts - contact your Account Manager for more information

Bookings from Booking Agents can be handled in two different ways:

  1. Each Booking from the Agent has its own Account and Bookings Ledger, so all bookings are handled individually - this is the same as a ‘direct’ booking

Or

  1. Each Booking is created individually against one Agent Account and all Bookings/ Payments from that Agent are shown on the one Agent Booking Ledger

You need to inform ParcVu which option you would like to use for your Agent Bookings so that the correct option is set for your system.

Once Agent Accounts is enabled (all Bookings go to a single ledger), you cannot go back to the individual ledger model for Agent Bookings, so it’s important that this decision is centrally agreed by your business prior to the change

If you’d like to see how this would work, ParcVu Support can enable this in your Test system prior to going live. This setting can be removed from the Test system if you decide not to proceed, as we’re able to overwrite the Test system with a copy of Live.
