Send Booking Details to a Customer in ParcVu Desktop

The Send Booking Details function in ParcVu Desktop is only available to existing customers who previously signed up for the legacy ParcVu Bookings module. New subscribers will be offered enrolment in the Booking Experts module. Existing customers using legacy Bookings will be offered the opportunity to upgrade to Booking Experts - contact your Account Manager for more information

When making or editing a Booking, the user will be prompted to ‘notify the holidaymaker’ - this will send the Template with a ‘Reason’ of ‘Booking Details’

To manually (re)send this information, navigate to the Booking and choose ‘Send Details’ from the navigation menu on the right hand side

If the customer’s preference is Letter, you’ll be prompted to select which printer to send the document to. If their preference is email, then they’ll receive an email instead

Once complete, a Confirmation message will appear.

A common mistake with Booking Details is understanding the difference between Booking Details and Booking Confirmation. The Booking Details email is what is sent to a customer immediately after making their Booking. They/you might refer to this as the ‘confirmation’, but it’s actually a different template to the Booking Confirmation - this is only sent once the Booking has a status of ‘Confirmed’

When checking/editing templates, ensure you’re updating the correct one for your purpose
